The site of the Catholic Church in Boho is unique in Fermanagh, in that it is the only early Christian one where Catholic worship still continues to this day. We go back to St. Faber and the sixth century to trace this long faith tradition in Boho. Another great reminder of the antiquity of this Christian site, is the tall, carved, Celtic cross shaft that stands in the ancient churchyard of Boho. The Church of the Sacred Heart stands on the site of an early monastery or nunnery, where St. Faber carried out her work. The present Church was dedicated on Sunday 26th October 1913.
